Personal Health Issues
As a person suffering from Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Pre-Diabetes, I felt there was insufficient art representing us in a typical art form. I wanted to showcase my personal experience and daily troubles and show people who suffer the same illnesses that this is normal and we should never be ashamed of our issues. I want to set a reminder that none of this is our fault; we did not fail ourselves.
Addictions
Chronic Pain and Addictions series is a Magazine company based in Richmond, Flor. Their target audience is both cis-gender and transgender women who are in their 20s. Flor discusses topics such as lifestyle, health, fashion, beauty, and LGBTQ+. The two latest magazine issues are Chronic Pain and Addiction. The two magazines are a special edition where the readers would submit an essay about what it is like to have chronic pain or addictions. The next page would be an illustration piece describing the essay in a Collage Russian Constructivism style. Russian Constructivism will be used throughout the magazine to spread the issues of chronic issues and addictions women go through.
